VISA REQUIREMENTS Countries Requiring Visas: All persons entering Afghanistan, except the following require visas:
Types of Visa and Validity: 1. Tourist Visa: This is valid for 30 days and is issued for the purpose of visiting Afghanistan. 2. Transit Visa: This is valid for 72 hours for air passengers and 6 days for persons traveling by land. 3. Resident Visa: This is valid from 1 month to 6 months. 4. Entry Visa for Work Permit: This is issued for business, economic, commercial, cultural, industrial purposes and working for the governmental and non governmental organizations. 5. Diplomatic Visa: This is issued to travelers holding diplomatic passports. 6. Service visa: This is issued to holders of service or special passports. 7. Student Visa: This is issued to foreign students intending to study in Afghanistan. 8. Exit Visa: This is valid from 1 day to 6 days and is issued to foreign nationals who have entered Afghanistan with entry work permit visa.
