THE CRIMINAL LAW (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2005#NO. 2 OF 2006$[11th January, 2006.]+An Act further to amend the Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and the Indian Evidence Act, 1872.BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India asfollows:-CHAPTER IPRELIMINARYCHAPTER I PRELIMINARY1.Short title and commencement.1. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Act may be called the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2005.(2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, bynotification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.
