Education:

Stephen received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor in 1972 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1974.

Experience:

He has practiced primarily in the areas of injury and insurance litigation appearing in the Superior Court of Ontario and various administrative tribunals in the course of representing injured clients
He was certified in the area of brain injury litigation at Brock University in conjunction with the Ontario Brain Injury Association in 1998
He has successfully represented many people who have been denied disability benefits by the Canada Pension Plan and disability insurance companies
He has been active in community groups, having sat on the boards of the Sexual Assault Crisis Centre, Windsor and Essex County Association of the Physically Handicapped and as a parent representative on the Windsor Board of Education Special Education Advisory Committee
He has, by invitation, served in the capacity of Moot Court Judge at the University of Windsor Law School for the preliminary rounds of the Zuber Moot contest for law students and has participated as a mock judge or prosecutor in the Jail or Bail fundraiser at Devonshire Mall on behalf of Crime Stoppers
